The March Movie Calendar (and Other Work)

MarchHeader

It’s the first week of the month. And that means it’s time for the monthly movie calendar that I design for Movies.com, featuring the month’s wide release films (and some limited release films), movies coming to blu-ray, and a smorgasbord of March video on demand choices provided to me by Peter Hall. Additionally, I’ve designed a few other pieces in the last month or so that I’d like to share.

First, here’s your March movie calendar, wherein the stars aligned in a way that I could include Ingmar Bergman, Kermit the Frog, Martin Scorsese, the Coen brothers, Wes Anderson, an actor from Breaking Bad, and my pick for this year’s Oscar. Never again will the stars align in such a magical way. You can access the calendar by clicking on this smaller version of it:

I also put together this piece (design only; copy and lots of awesome research by Peter Martin) leading up to the Super Bowl. It’s The Big Game… in Movies.

Finally, I made an infograph of what Aubrey Plaza, star of the upcoming film Life After Beth, would keep in her zombie apocalypse survival kit. The piece accompanied an interview of Aubrey Plaza by Erik Davis.

Well done as always. I’m glad Budapest Hotel is coming out soon..I haven’t been to the theater in months. Now I have an excuse to go!

    • Yes! The winter months are so bad for movies once you get past the Christmas/Thanksgiving stuff and the Oscar stuff. It becomes a wasteland.

You really missed a huge opportunity by not dedicating the entire month of March to Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom’s Club. Everything else pales in comparison. Also, here’s an idea for April–posting the Noah reviews from flat-Earth, fundamentalist Christians who thought it wasn’t “historically” accurate enough.
