Great Moments in Movie History: Caddyshack

The topic of today’s “Great Moment in Movie History” comes to us courtesy of Caddyshack’s lovable scamp, Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield). Many characters wreaked havoc on Bushwood Country Club but none did it as well as Czervik. No character could get under Judge Smails’ (Ted Knight) skin the way that Al Czervik did. I’ve memorialized his greatest moment harassing Judge Smails. Enjoy!

You can find the original scene here.

  1. It’s good…but it’s no “Pink Flamingos” chicken f*@k scene.

  2. The guy who met Kevin Meany

It’s good…but it’s no “Pink Flamingos” dog turd eating scene.

  3. Hahaha… Brilliant stuff! I love Caddyshack, one of my top 80s favorites, and that’s mostly due to Dangerfield. A better one would be my favorite Dangerfield moment when he drops an anchor through Smails boat and says, “Hey! You scratched my anchor!” LOL

    • “Did someone step on a duck or what?”

      • Some of Dangerfield’s best lines:

“Whoo, hello, you must’ve been something before electricity.”
“Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it.”
“Oh, this is the worst hat I ever saw. What, do you get a free bowl of soup when you buy it? [notices it on Smails] Oh, looks good on you though!”
“You’re a lot of woman! You wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?”
“This steak still has marks where the jockey was hittin’ it!”
“He called me a baboon, he thinks I’m his wife!”
“Fore!” [golf ball hits Smails in the nuts] “I shoulda yelled two!”
“I almost got head from Amelia Earhart!”
[after gopher takes his ball] “Hey, that kangaroo just took my ball!”
“Hey Smails! My dinghy’s bigger than your whole boat.”

        RD = a legend.

Ha! I enjoy your ‘drawings.’ All of Rodney’s scenes were classic. I’ve always had a soft spot for Spaulding, though.
