Baseball at the Movies: A Timeline

Spring is right around the corner. And that means that the best sport in the world, baseball, is right around the corner. Over the next few weeks, baseball movies will flood your TV. To enhance your enjoyment of those movies and to put it all in perspective, here’s a timeline of baseball movie events. Enjoy!

  2. Really great job. This one may be my all time favorite. By the end of the timeline I wasn’t sure what really happened and what was made up.

    I like the use of the Red Sox font–nice touch. Also, thanks for including Merle from the Walking Dead….I forgot he was in Eight Men Out.

    • Graphic design fun fact- there aren’t a lot of good baseball fonts out there. There are some decent script fonts, but that probably wouldn’t have worked in that long, narrow space. And before you know it, you see the Red Sox font (called “Bosox” available on Dafont).

      The colors are straight-up the Cardinals color scheme, especially now that they have a cream-colored jersey for Sundays. I didn’t use the Cardinals’ yellow, though. It would’ve screamed on there.
