Great Moments in Movie History Using Stick Figures: Naked Lunch (1991)

For the longest time, I wondered what David Cronenberg’s Naked Lunch (1991) was about. All I knew was that Nelson Muntz had immortalized it on The Simpsons by pointing out that there were at least two things wrong with the film’s title. I finally watched it a few weekends ago, and it’s… something else. There’s really only one way to explain how I felt about it- using stick figures.

As usual, click on the image for full resolution. And yes, that print of the French kid walking around with booze in his hands really does hang on my walls.

Haven’t seen the movie, but the book is about the same. On the plus side, it produced the name for a 70s band, Steely Dan.

Maybe you had a few too many beers…I gotta tell you…your eyes are like saucers! That beard could use a little trimming too sir. Oh how I love Cronenberg. Burroughs and Cronenberg are a match made in mind-tripping hell.
